No, it’s designed to be done together and there’s plenty of space for both responses. Of course you’re more than welcome to buy one for each of you, this is a great option for long distance couples!

The Same Page is designed to be done once a week, every week, for a year. There are 9 weekly questions and one additional question that dives deeper into a theme of relationships (communication, expectations, intimacy, etc.). There are a few questions at the beginning and the end of the journal to set your expectations and celebrate how far you’ve come!

Nope! Maybe it’s the start of a new year, your wedding anniversary, or now just feels like the right time. We’ve designed The Same Page to have fillable dates so you can start whenever works best for you!

From start to finish, it takes Alex and I about an hour to go through our questions each week. That can vary based on what comes up in conversation, though. Maybe it’s been an uneventful week and there’s not much to discuss, or maybe something more serious comes up that you need to dig a little deeper into. It’s all about sparking intentional communication and your conversation may continue long after you finish going through the questions!

In addition to 9 the weekly questions, there is one question each week that covers a crucial topic we think every couple should talk about. Every four weeks there is a new theme and a challenge to do for that theme.

The journal contains 52 weeks of questions, designed to be completed within one year!

While we certainly share Christian values, the questions address topics and wisdom that every relationship can benefit from!
